my senior thesis was a major catalyst
for my career.
as artists, we are inspired by those who came before us but as queer artists
we take inspiration from those
who surround our everyday.
for this project, i collaborated with other queer artists, who’s work i was inspired by
to create pieces that honored past art movements while making
note of their lack of diversity and representation. notoriously, queer art tends to lean more
towards dramatic, whimsical, and camp themes that transport the viewer,
and i wanted to do just that.
