the untold diversity of immigrants
a collection of stories that portray the diversity of the immigrant community in the US through this project i hope to destigmatize the blatant prejudice and racism that plagues the minority immigrant community today“I moved to America with my family when I was 11 years old in hopes of receiving a better education. Learning English was difficult and I am still learning it to this day by continuing my education to hopefully become a doctor. With that, I also embrace my identities that shape the person that I am today, I am a Muslim woman of color.”
“Understanding the diaspora means unearthing what living fully looks like. It means checking in on yourself, being vulnerable, and finding what excites you. It’s leaning into art in all its forms.”
